Bristow Real Estate Information

Situated in Prince William County, Virginia, the town of Bristow is comprised of a series of upper-middle-class managed communities including Bridlewood, Bridlewood Manor, Brookside, Crossman Creek, Foxborough, Kingsbrooke, New Bristow Village, Sheffield Manor, and Victory Lakes. Site of the Battle of Bristoe Station on October 14, 1863 during the American Civil War, this town has a rich heritage that has persisted to this day. In fact, although the area’s name has been changed many times, the same southern culture and welcoming hospitality graces most homes around Bristow.

A sleepy town, there are no major commercial interests left locally, although there is a crew change point for the Norfolk Southern Railway just a small way up the tracks from the Bristow railroad crossing. The Manassas Regional Airport is adjacent to Bristow and offers a number of short-haul domestic flights to major airline hubs east of the Mississippi River. A number of fun attractions draw hoards of visitors to Bristow annually, namely Bristoe Station Battlefield Heritage Park, The Campaign and Battle of Bristoe Station Van Tour, and a number of other wartime recreations. The Manassas National Battle Park is just a few minutes’ drive north on the Ronald Reagan Memorial Highway.

The Nissan Pavilion, an outdoor concert stage, was constructed in 1995 and can seat up to 25,000 people, making it the largest music-oriented venue in the greater Washington metropolitan area. Over the years, the majority of big name artists have at one point performed in this storied performance space. The Bristow Manor Golf Course and Broad Run Golf and Practice Facility are also exemplary golf locations with affordable prices.

Due to the extensive expansion of the suburbs surrounding the city of Manassas, much of Bristow is being swallowed, as evidenced by suburban neighborhoods like Bristow Station. As a result of this decentralization of the town, the town center has been relocated to the Braemar Parkway area. Nonetheless, residents still enjoy the unique sense of town in Bristow as well as the town’s convenient location near the much larger city of Manassas.
