As an independent city, Manassas Park is not part of any county in Virginia. Manassas National Battle Park, Bull Run Regional Park, and Hemlock Overlook Regional Park are the most famous and well used throughout the year. A number of smaller parks support local sports teams and tournaments. Signal Bay Water Park was built in the heart of Manassas Park and is a fun weekend activity.

Because Manassas Park is its own entity, it has its own charming city school district. Cougar Elementary, Manassas Park Elementary, Manassas Park Middle, and Manassas Park High provide exceptional educations to the city’s youth. In neighboring Manassas, several institutions of higher learning, such as George Mason University and Northern Virginia Community College, have satellite campuses that allows residents of all ages to take advantage of their tremendous opportunities.

Transportation in Manassas Park is relatively easy thanks to the webbed network of highways and main thoroughfares that run through the city. Like Manassas, the I-66 is the area’s main lifeline and provides a straight-line commute into Alexandria and Washington, DC. However, residents don’t have to go far to find excellent shopping. Bull Run Plaza, Manassas Shopping Center, and Manassas Mall both offer many high-class amenities and a wealth of shops, stores, eateries, and boutiques for even the most discerning customer.
