Woodbridge Real Estate Information

Woodbridge is one of Prince William County’s larger communities and has a population exceeding 40,000 people. A suburban community, the majority of residents commute into Washington, DC. The I-95 makes this journey very quick and manageable. Because of the area’s excellent connectivity to the capital by car, bus, or train, Woodbridge communities are becoming increasingly luxurious and exclusive. Both the Virginia Royals soccer club and Potomac Nationals baseball team are based in Woodbridge and have drawn the extreme loyalty of the local community.

Home of the Potomac Mills Mall, Woodbridge’s residents have immediate access to the largest outlet mall in the United States. The much smaller Market at Opitz Crossing, Prince William Square, and Marumsco-Jefferson Plaza are also highly frequented by Woodbridge residents. The Potomac Hospital is also located in Woodbridge and offers high quality health care not only to local residents but the entire Prince William region. The Northern Virginia Community College is on the outskirts of Woodbridge and is quite popular both with students out of high school and working residents looking to return to school.

To the south of Woodbridge is Leesylvania State Park and Rippon Landing Community Park. Both waterfront parks are used for launching boats as well as for enjoying the calming views of the water. A number of parks also lie in the area between Woodbridge and its close neighbor, Occoquan. Residents from both communities enjoy Occoquan Bat National Wildlife Refuge as well as the Veterans Memorial Park and Ospreys Golf Club at Belmont Bay. In addition to these facilities, Woodbridge’s residents also like to frequent Marumsco Acre Lake Park and Marumsco Creek. A number of small streams that weave their way through Woodbridge add a soothing trickle to the sound of the town.

A number of cultural events and festivals bring the entire Woodbridge community together. Among the dozens of large gatherings, the Colonial Prince William County Van Tour, Music at the Marina, Potomac Heritage Day, U.S. Navy Country Current, Leesylvania Multicultural Festival, Multicultural Celebration, and Rippon Lodge Harvest Festival are the most popular. The large number of Woodbridge youth are served by eighteen elementary schools, five middle schools, and five high schools that are all located within the community.
